When you check out the stats with the other two United first choice strikers there is not much to chose between them.
All three players are predominately right footed and all managed just one goal with their left foot all last season
Berbatov edges it in headed goals and assists, jut ahead of Rooney and Tevez and has an excellent record for getting early goals with five of his 15 coming in the opening 15 minutes of games
In two seasons at Spurs, Berbatov has notched 27 goals in 63 starts
Perhaps it is the fact he has a similar record to the other two is what appeals to Fergie with him slotting into the United pattern of play smoothly
