Greener's Premier League Tips

Stoke City v Liverpool

In 10 home games this season Stoke City have not been behind at the break in any of them.  They have only conceded three first half goals at the Britannia.  Liverpool have led at half time only once in their 10 away matches.  That came in the Merseyside derby at Goodison.  I recommend laying Liverpool in the Half Time market.

Chelsea v Sunderland

Chelsea are still unbeaten at home this season with nine wins and a draw in their 10 home games.  Eight of those 10 games have produced Over 2.5 goals.  Having won at Bolton on the opening day of the season, Sunderland have managed just two points from a possible 27 on their travels since.  My recommendation in this one is to back Over 2.5 goals as following six consecutive clean sheets by the home side they have conceded in each of their last three at the Bridge.

Manchester United v Burnley

United have only failed to score once in their 10 home games this season, while Burnley have conceded at least two in their 10 away from home.  Burnley have the worst away record in the League picking up just one point from a possible 30.  In this one I recommended backing Man Utd to win 2-0 and 3-0.

Portsmouth v Birmingham City

Portsmouth have won three of their last five games at Fratton Park.  Birmingham on currently on an unbeaten run of 12 games, with seven wins and five draws.  During that run they managed six clean sheets.    I recommend two wagers on this game.  First a Birmingham win which I make my banker of the weekend and also a Birmingham clean sheet.

Tottenham Hotspur v Hull City

The fans at White Hart Lane are yet to witness a drawn game this season, with Tottenham winning seven and losing the other three.  The home side have conceded only three first half goals and the two games they were scored in both resulted in losses.  Hull are still awaiting their first away win of the season and have picked up just three draws in their 10 away games.  Hull have conceded the opening goal in each of their last eight away matches.  I suggest backing Tottenham Half Time/Full Time and also a little wager on 3-0.

Wolverhampton Wanderers v Wigan Athletic

Wolves have won two of their last three games at Molineux.  They have managed only three goals in the first half of their 10 home games.  Wigan have conceded 44 goals in their 19 games this season which the most in the Premier League.  Nine of Wigan’s 10 away games have produced Over 2.5 goals.  I suggest a bet on a Wolves win and also back Over 2.5 goals.

Everton v Manchester City

Six of Everton’s 10 home games have been draws at the break, with five of them being goalless.  Everton are unbeaten in their last six games but have managed just the one victory.  City have won only one of their last eight away matches.  They have lost only one of their last 15 league games and have won their last four straight.  This is a tough one to call but I’m going to go with Mancini to carry on his winning start, so a nice wager on a City win.  I will also be backing the Half Time draw.

Aston Villa v West Ham United

Only three of Villa’s 10 home games have produced Over 2.5 goals.  They have only conceded five goals in their last nine matches at Villa Park.  West Ham have lost six of their last eight away games.  West Ham have managed only one win in their last 12 visits to Villa Park.   I recommend backing Under 2.5 goals and small wagers on 1-0 and 2-0  being the correct score.

Blackburn Rovers v Fulham

Blackburn have failed to win any of their last nine league games including their last four games at home.  Fulham haven’t won away since the opening day of the season at Portsmouth a total of nine games.  I think this has a draw written all over it and that’s where my money will be going.

Bolton Wanderers v Arsenal

Seven of Bolton’s 10 home games have produced Over 3.5 goals while five of Arsenal’s 10 away games have also produced at least four goals.  Arsenal have lost just one of their last seven away games.  I suggest you back both Over 2.5 goals and Over 3.5 goals.

BANKER BET - Birmingham to win.

NEXT BEST - Bolton/Arsenal Over 2.5 goals.

TREBLE - Blackburn/Fulham draw.
