Check out our selections for the weekend

Chelsea v Manchester City

Chelsea are unbeaten in the league at Stamford Bridge this season, winning 12 of their 13 games.  They have found the net at least twice in all bar one of those 13 games, the exception being the 1-0 win against Man Utd in November.  City have won just one of their last 11 away games.  Ten of Chelsea’s 13 home games have produced Over 2.5 goals while five of City’s last seven away matches have also produced at least three goals.   I will be backing Chelsea Half Time/Full Time and also the Over 2.5 goals.

Birmingham City v Wigan Athletic

Birmingham are unbeaten in their last nine home games, with five wins and four draws.  Wigan have won just three of their 13 away games and only one of their last eight.  Only four of Birmingham’s 13 home matches have produced Over 2.5 goals, while ten of Wigan’s last 12 away matches have.    In this one I suggest a bet on a Birmingham win and the fact that Wigan have found the net in 10 of their 13 away games an another on Over 2.5 goals.

Bolton Wanderers v Wolverhampton Wanderers

Bolton have managed just three wins at home this season from 13 attempts.  Wolves have won just one of their last 11 away matches.  Wolves have scored only three goals in the opening 45 minutes of their 12 away games.  I suggest two bets in this one.  First I will be backing a Bolton win and also the Half Time score to be 1-0 to the home side.

Burnley v Portsmouth

Burnley have lost only two of their 12 games at Turf Moor but have only won one of their last six.  Portsmouth have won only one of their 13 away matches and have lost seven of their last eight.    If Burnley are to have any chance of remaining in the Premier League then this is a must win game.  Therefore I recommend backing Burnley to win this one.

Stoke City v Arsenal

Stoke have lost just one of their last nine games at the Britannia, of the other eight they have won four and drawn four.  Arsenal have lost just two of their last 10 away games.  Arsenal’s previous two visits to the Britannia have both resulted in defeats, 2-1 in the league last season and a 3-1 defeat in the FA Cup.    The fact that the Gunners have managed to claw their way back into the title race I think this should be third time lucky and therefore recommend a bet on an Arsenal win and also small wagers on Arsenal to win 1-0 & 2-0.

Tottenham Hotspur v Everton

Tottenham have lost just one of their last eight home games and they haven’t conceded a goal in the last five.  Everton have won only one of their last seven away matches but have only lost one of their last 12 overall.  Everton have also won the last three meetings between the sides at White Hart Lane.   I recommend backing the draw in this one.

Liverpool v Blackburn Rovers

Liverpool have lost just one of their last 11 home games and they have won the last five on the bounce.  Blackburn have won just once in their 13 away games.  Liverpool are unbeaten in the last 13 games between the sides played at Anfield winning eight of them.  In this one I recommend backing Liverpool Half Time/Full Time.

Sunderland v Fulham

Sunderland have only lost one of their last 11 home games and have drawn five of their last seven.  Fulham haven’t won any of their last 12 away matches.  Only one of Sunderland’s last eight home games and only two of Fulham’s last eight away games have managed to produce three goals or more.  I recommend a bet on the draw in this one and I will also be backing Under 2.5 goals.

BANKER BET - Arsenal to win.

NEXT BEST - Burnley to win.

TREBLE - Sunderland/Fulham Under 2.5 goals.
